Where to Go Swimming in Zadar?

The question we get asked most by our guests at Luxury Majpruz Suites is "Where to go swimming?" There are many answers to this question as Zadar is laced with some of the best beaches on the Dalmatian Coast. Keep reading to find a list of Zadar's top beaches, and we guarantee you'll find a sweet spot that is sure to fit your needs.

Beach Kolovare

The most popular beach is located 500 meters from the city center. This pebble beach is ideal for families with smaller children, and also for young people looking to enjoy their favorite cocktails in one of the many bars lining the shore. In addition to sun loungers, outdoor showers, changing cabins and public toilets are available. Kolovare is also wheelchair accessible.

Beach Diklo

Located about 4 km from the city center, you can find Diklo Beach. The beach infrastructure is a combination of both pebble and pavement. Sun umbrellas are also in abundance, and if you prefer natural shade, take to the pine forest surrounding the beach.

Beach Uskok

On the east side of Marina Borik lies beach Uskok. It is also known as "Vitrenjak" or, loosely translated, "Windy," due to the wind gusts that give comfort on sweltering days. Because of this, Uskok also offers unforgettable views of sailboats and surfers who attend training in front of a large audience. Beach Uskok also has bar amenities that offer must needed shade and relaxation. Looking for fitness? Seasonal sports such as volleyball are available. Don't want to be in the sun? Wait for the evening and enjoy a walk across the beach promenade.
